Housing Data

Neighborhood Nexus' housing data comes from a variety of sources: 2010 Census for basic information like tenure and occupancy status; Equity Depot for foreclosure filings; and LexisNexis for assessed property value. Thanks to our relationship with LexisNexis, we will be adding bankruptcy data soon. These data reports answer the following questions:

  • How has the foreclosure crisis affected my community?
  • Where are the largest concentrations of owner-occupied housing?
  • Where are the areas with the greatest number of vacant units?

The links above are to Excel spreadsheets. For those interested in data for specific Census Tracts, go to the interactive map where you can select the neighborhoods you are interested in on a map and see how that neighborhood compares to the surrounding areas. As of now, foreclosure filing data is not available at the census tract level.
